ฤดูกาลแห่งแสงไฟในช่วงเทศกาลคริสมาตนั้นเป็นที่โดดดังไปทั่วเมืองของประเทศญี่ปุ่น
การประดับแสงไฟเหล่านี้จะจัดแสดงในช่วงเดือนพฤศจิกายนถึงช่วงเทศกาลคริสมาตหรือปีใหม่ และจะเก็บเอาไว้ใช้ในวันแห่งความรักอีกด้วย

Seasonal illuminations around Christmas have become a popular attraction in cities across Japan. Illuminations are typically displayed from around November to around Christmas or New Year, while a few are kept up until Valentine’s Day in February.
Among Japan’s first and most spectacular light shows is Kobe’s Luminarie. Started after the disastrous earthquake in 1995, the Kobe Luminarie (December 4-15, 2014) is an Italian designed tunnel consisting of millions of lights.

This year Caretta Shiodome hosts the “Canyon d’Azur” featuring a vast ocean of LED lights. Nearby Shiodome City Center puts on its own illuminations.

Illumination displays are found spread around the Shinjuku Terrace City, but especially on the Shinjuku Southern Terrace, south of JR Shinjuku Station. Some illuminations will be held through Valentine’s Day.

Christmas trees along Chuo Street and illuminations by many individual stores, including the “Mikimoto Jumbo Christmas Tree”, make the popular shopping and entertainment district even more colorful than it usually is.

The theme for this year is “Artelligent Christmas”. Keyakizaka Street will have a Galaxy illumination Snow&Blue and Candle&Red, projecting two completely different atmospheres. 66 Plaza, the main plaza in front of the Mori Tower will also have an eight meter tall symbol tree with LED lights within and the West Walk area will display a huge chandelier made of glittering feathers.
ในปีนี้มาในรูปแบบ “Artelligent Christmas” ถนนเคยากิซากะจะมีการประดับไฟดั่งอยู่ในอวกาศ หิมะสีฟ้า และเทียนไขสีแดง ซึ่งตัดกันอย่างลงตัว ตึก66พลาซ่า นั้นเป็นตึกหลักอยู่หน้าตึกโมริทาวเวอร์ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนต้นไม้ไฟLEDขนาดความสูงถึง 8เมตร ภายในพื้นที่ West walk จะจัดแสดงโคมไฟระย้าขนาดใหญ่ที่ประกายแวววายอีกด้วย

Tokyo Midtown’s “Midtown Christmas” involves multiple illumination areas around the Midtown complex. The “Starlight Garden” is a particularly popular and attractive display located in the park behind the main tower.

“Daiba Memorial Tree” is a large, decorated tree in Odaiba Kaihin Park in front the of Decks shopping center. Several other places on Odaiba, such as Venus fort and Diver City, also have illumination events

Tokyo Dome City’s winter illumination features an impressive collection of light up displays and events that can be enjoyed around Tokyo Dome and the adjacent amusement park. One of the longest illuminations in the city, the event lasts for over one hundred days and ends after Valentine’s Day.
ในหน้าหนาวของโตเกียวโดมนั้นจะจัดชุดการแสดงประดับแสงไฟที่น่าสนใจและยังจัดรอบ ๆ โตเกียวโดม และสวนสนุกอีกด้วย เป็นหนึ่งในสถานที่จัดที่ยาวที่สุดของเมือง และจัดงานถึง 100 วัน จนถึงวันแห่งความรักอีกด้วย

Yebisu Garden Place features an illumination event called “Baccarat Eternal Lights” with a huge crystal chandelier, decorated trees and illuminated areas.
